Rona Jobe Recognized by AAFSW for CCE-EFM Award and Prize Money for Extraordinary EFM Employment Efforts

Washington, DC – August 4, 2023 LVL-Up Strategies proudly announces that CEO and Founder Rona Jobe has been named a recipient of AAFSW’s Champions of Career Enhancement for Eligible Family Members Award.

The Champions of Career Enhancement for Eligible Family Members Award (CCE-EFM) was developed by Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide’s (AAFSW) EFM Employment Committee to recognize and incentivize those who go beyond their job descriptions and daily routines to promote employment and career development for Foreign Service eligible family members (EFMs). The winning individual or group receives a cash award of $1,000 and is honored at the annual AAFSW Awards Ceremony in November.

U.S. Foreign Service EFM Rona Jobe, currently posted in the Washington D.C. area, is the Founder and CEO of the highly successful Arlington-based company LVL-Up Strategies. Jobe founded LVL-Up in 2020 with the mission of making an immediate impact in two communities: the U.S. EFM/Military spouse community and the small business community.

As an EFM, Jobe has experienced and witnessed how difficult it is for the EFM/Military spouse community to rebuild their careers as they uproot their families every few years according to their partners’ assignments. Through her policy and consulting work, she also recognized the need to make strategic consulting with implementation accessible to small businesses. By connecting the two communities, LVL-Up creates sustainable pathways for everyone to get to their next level.

LVL-Up offers its staff remote, mostly asynchronous work that grows their skills, offers employment through moves, and allows them to reach their next career level. Since its inception, LVL-Up has had EFMs and Military spouses on its staff and provided the career step needed for three EFMs to obtain high-level leadership jobs after returning stateside, one of which was a C-suite position.

The LVL-Up team works with small businesses, startups, nonprofits, and government agencies to get them to their next level of success through strategic planning, operations design, marketing and sales plans, business guidance, and plan implementation.

“I am honored to have been nominated and chosen by the AAFSW as a winner of the Champions of Career Enhancement for Eligible Family Members Award,” said LVL-Up Strategies Founder and CEO Rona Jobe. “As a member of the Foreign Service community, I am proud to accept this honor on behalf of the EFMs who make daily sacrifices to serve their Missions around the world. This award is a reflection of our team’s ability to take our clients to their next level of success while creating for themselves sustainable careers that PCS with them.”

Jobe was selected because her efforts went above and beyond regular work duties. She adopted best practices and innovations that expanded and elevated individual job opportunities and long-term career enhancement for Foreign Service family members.

With her business partner, Laura Jennings, Jobe has developed proprietary systems that support her EFM staff effectively, including the LVL-Up Remote & Asynchronous Staff Onboarding Process and the LVL-Up Implementer Advisory Program, a coaching and accountability program specifically for LVL-Up staff to reach their personal and professional goals.

Jobe will be presented with the award in a formal ceremony in November.
