The Issue

After working with LVL-Up for three years, this real estate professional was ready to amplify their brand and offerings to become a thought leader and expert in their field. They needed a strategy and plan to do this effectively, to expand beyond the paid ads they had used in previous years. They wanted earned media placement on industry platforms that resonated with their target audiences.

The Strategy

LVL-Up interviewed the client and researched the industry to better understand how to position, pitch, and promote their unique selling proposition. Specifically, we helped the client:

  1. Create a strategy and implementation plan that would expand his audience sustainably over the next five years.
  2. Set realistic and measurable KPIs;
  3. Understand how the public and media relations goals tied into their overall business goals; and
  4. Develop a comprehensive digital marketing funnel to engage the target markets through content on the most important platforms.

After the first two months of our public and media relations engagement, LVL-Up Strategies reviewed the results of our efforts to establish a pitch-to-appearance conversion rate so we could refine the KPIs and adjust monthly outreach targets.

The Solution

LVL-Up was already providing the client with a comprehensive communications plan that included (in addition to press and media relations) social media, email, and website services. With the Media and PR plan, we created alignment with organic and paid messaging to integrate educational, promotional, and entertaining content. This work allowed us to shape the client’s online persona while we secured opportunities to increase awareness the target audiences on the platforms they used most often.

In the first 12 months of our public and media relations engagement, LVL-Up helped our client achieve:

  • 8 published editorials and features including the Washington Post;
  • 5 podcast appearances on industry-specific shows;
  • 13 full-page paid ads in two local print and digital magazines;
  • 2 large panel appearances with COMS support;
